Spring is definitely in the air here in Albertville. Warner House Press is getting ready to grow veggies, combat wasps and (hopefully) see a brood of ducks in the large pond. Robert and I have been working on several projects behind the scenes and are almost ready to reveal all the details! In the meantime, here’s a sneak peek:
Coin the Realm
We have been working with a new author over the past few months and brainstorming ways in which this opportunity fits in with our brand. All of us at Warner House Press have a love for science fiction and fantasy, and with the addition of author and illustrator Jordan Madere to our author family, we are excited to launch a new imprint, Coin the Realm. Look for the announcement of Jordan’s first book with WHP, Wanderlust, in the coming weeks. And thanks to Jordan for the cool CTR logo!
Why the name? Coin the Realm is a reversal of the phrase, Coin of the Realm, signaling our intent to be an active (but not exclusive) participant in the value for value model. This model fits in well with our long standing commitment to license only those rights from our authors for which we can reasonably add value, giving you more freedom to pursue independent avenues for promotion, sales and reach. Our intent is to continue to remove barriers between the author and their readers. Look for more announcements regarding this and other projects and let us know what you think by leaving a comment below!
