May Greetings to our authors and friends,
And just like that it is summer here. Hot and humid, but beautiful. Our circle of contacts has grown tremendously this past month, the result of weekly visits to local bookstores and community organizations. The Albertville Chamber of Commerce has been very helpful, sharing out our posts and including ads in their email ‘blasts.’ Several of our books are on display in a bricks-and-mortar store, Shades of Pemberley Bookstore in Albertville. This month has also seen the release of The Restless Heart and Chased by the Hound of Heaven. Next month we will be working on the second edition of New England Ramblings and the upcoming Street Signs, by Faye Braley, as well as continuing our advertising push with print media.
Never Forget Eternity - Article featured in AZ Southern Baptist Convention Newsletter
Rik Danielsen writes to tell us that his great bible study was featured in the Arizona SBC E-Newsletter. The Q&A with Rik can be read here: https://azsbc.org/news/book-corner-never-forget-eternity-by-rik-danielsen/. Congratulations, Rik!
Chased by the Hound of Heaven Published
Alice Klies’ memoir and testimony is now available for purchase. We are anxiously awaiting our copies to sell and distribute locally. Above is the advertisement currently running locally via Facebook and the Albertville Chamber of Commerce.
Marketing Push
After analyzing marketing approaches we’ve used since forming Warner House Press, it became clear that focusing locally (even during pandemic times) has worked best. This month we concentrated on face-to-face meetings with local businesses and organizations; next month we are adding local print advertisements, as well as continuing the face-to-face contacts and social media posts (with local post boosts). One surprising find: small Christian bookstores are thriving here in Northern Alabama. We have visited three (three!) in the local area and all are doing well.
Free Competition Analysis Available
We offer our authors (and prospective authors) three hours of free competition analysis upon request. You will receive a spreadsheet containing a list of books that have keywords similar to your work, as well as their daily and monthly sales ranks and how long the books have been available. This information can be used to determine a book’s market potential, as well as developing an ad targeting strategy on Amazon. Your book must have at least one and preferably a minimum of three reviews on Amazon for ad targeting to be useful. Please contact me at dave@warner.house for further information.
