The dog days of summer as surely upon us, and gardening and lawn care take up a lot of our time outside of Warner House Press duties. August has brought a raft of projects and the completion of one that we first announced in April. More info below.
I had the distinct pleasure recently of working with Margaret White on Weekday Warrior, a devotional for Christian School Teachers. Here are some observations I jotted down while going through these wonderful devotions:
"Hard-won knowledge based on decades of experience" "Should be handed to every new (and veteran) Christian school teacher!" "Beautifully captures and honors the rhythm of the school year." "Theologically rich, doctrinally sound; saturated with Scripture."
Yesterday, we received Margaret’s okay on the cover design, created by Mark Stafford of Prescott’s Ablaze Media. Mark does many of our covers. If you have any need for graphic design services such as websites or marketing materials, we highly recommend him. I can’t resist the urge to share this latest cover with you:
I’ll keep everyone posted on a release date. In the meantime, please spread the word!
Coin the Realm - Wanderlust
The first book from our new imprint Coin the Realm comes out on September 16th. Author Jordan <Xeno> Madere, a native of New Orleans, is a graphic artist and game runner for the online role-playing game, Dominion Universe. Reminiscent of the best of Phillip K. Dick, Wanderlust is the first of a series of tales from Dominion City. It is a mature yet superversive work that explores a darkly original Cyberpunk world.
Preorders for Wanderlust are open on the Coin the Realm website now and are soon to be available from major retailers as well. Keep an eye on our social media for an official announcement!
